From May 21st to 25th 2018, Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. organized and assisted series of meetings between Chinese, Russian and Belarus universities in capital cities of hosting countries - Moscow and Minsk. The purpose of the visit is to assess the current state of Russian — Chinese - Belarus relations and prospects for the development of cooperation between the three countries.
Chinese universities representatives also visited 3 high schools, where presentations were held directly in front of the students and subsequently signed memorandums of understanding with each of those schools. Participation in 2nd Annual Strategic Summit of the advance of University excellence “QS WORLDWIDE” in Moscow can be also considered as a very successful event.
On the May 21st 2018 representatives from University of Electronic Science and Technology with representatives from Central South University of Forestry and Technology had chance to learn about the Russian culture by visiting the most famous and historically important Moscow sightseeing’s like Kremlin, Saint Basil's Cathedral, Kremlin Clock and many others.
After the cultural part the Hongzhou Learning Co. Ltd. with group of representatives’ visited the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) which entered the top five Universities of Russia in the National University ranking (2014/2015) and at the 2016 first entered the top ten Universities in Russia in the field of Medicine. Our representatives had a tour in the main building of the university and its library, meet colleagues from the Department of international relations, learned the history of PFUR, its departments and forms of education. The event led to the signing of a Memorandum of understanding in the field of scientific, academic and educational cooperation between Visits Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and Central South University of Forestry and Technology.
May 22nd started with the 2nd Annual Strategic Summit of the advance of University excellence “QS WORLDWIDE”. Participants had chance to meet with headquarters from universities from 10 different countries. Conference itself saw a number of keynotes, debates, panel discussions and presentations.
After the conference Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. organized the presentation session for two Chinese universities at the Moscow Butovskay High Scholl №2. This is a modern school with equipped classrooms and laboratories, gyms and library. There 1450 students at Butovskay High Scholl and the Central South University of Forestry and Technology had opportunity to sign The Memorandum of Understanding with them.
Day ended with the visit of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. During the meeting with the Minister they discussed topics like Russian – Chinese universities cooperation, possible promotion of Chinese education through the Russian schools and other important questions.
Next day, May 23rd began with the presentation of the Central South University of Forestry and Technology for students at the High School № 1298. The school was established on the basis of the order Of the Department of education of Moscow at 2005 and there are around 1000 students. After the campus tour and introduction to the Vise-President two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding to confirm the intention to establish cooperative relationships.
By arrival to the next country Belarus, Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. prepares a list of formal meeting and visits in Minsk capital.
25th of May Chinese university representatives visited Belarusian State Technological University which was established in 1930 and has 13000 students, 9 departments and 11 faculties. Meeting was held by the First Vice-President Aliaksandr Tsyhanau who mentioned that their university is widely open for the cooperation with University of Electronic Science and Technology and Central South University of Forestry and Technology. Belarusian university is willing to state student and academic exchange on a regular basis and develop long-term relationships with Chinese universities.
Next Presentation in Belarusian State University was held in front of students who have studied Chinese language for 3 years and have HSK 4-5 level. Students were very interested in Scholarship programs in China and asked many questions using Chinese language. Belarusian State University was founded in 1921 and in late 1950s became an international university with hundreds of international students.
Last visit in Minsk was held in Gymnasium №23 right in the center of the city. There are 400 students and 50% of them learn Chinese language from the 5th grade. Presentations about Chinese universities study programs were also visited by student’s parents. They were asking questions about safety in China, possibilities of visiting Chinese university campuses and about education level ranking. By tradition at the end of the visit and after the welcome tour around the main building Central South University of Forestry and Technology signed Memorandum of Understanding with Gymnasium.
Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co, Ltd. wishes successful future cooperation with all participants from mentioned events and meetings and will move forward with great enthusiasm to make better contributions to Chinese and foreign educational exchanges and cooperation.
